FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS
- 01IV therapy is a wellness service that delivers fluids, electrolytes, and select nutrients directly into the bloodstream through an intravenous line. Because this route bypasses the digestive system, hydration and nutrients are delivered efficiently and can be used to support overall wellness, energy, recovery, and nutrient replenishment. At IVORA, IV therapy is offered as a supportive wellness service for individuals navigating busy lifestyles, travel, physical demand, recovery needs, and overall wellness goals.
- 02When administered by trained medical professionals, IV therapy is considered a safe and widely used method of delivering fluids and nutrients. At IVORA, all services are provided by a Registered Nurse under physician-approved protocols, with medical clearance required prior to treatment. Each client completes a health screening to help ensure services are appropriate for their individual needs, and all treatments are delivered using sterile, medical-grade supplies with safety as a top priority.
- 03Appointment times may vary depending on the type and number of services received. A standard IV drip appointment is typically completed in about 45 minutes to 1 hour, while IM injection appointments can be as quick as 10 minutes. Every service is provided with care and attention to your comfort, so timing may vary slightly based on your personalized experience.
- 04Yes. All clients must complete a medical intake and clearance process prior to receiving services. This helps ensure that treatment is safe, appropriate, and aligned with your health history, current condition, and wellness goals.
- 05Some clients may not be eligible for IV therapy or injectable services depending on their medical history, current symptoms, or overall condition. For safety, treatment may not be appropriate for individuals with certain conditions, including: Uncontrolled high blood pressure Congestive heart failure or significant cardiac conditions Kidney disease or reduced kidney function Liver disease, depending on severity Active infection or fever Severe dehydration requiring higher-level medical care Pregnancy, depending on the service History of allergic reactions to ingredients used in treatment Certain seizure disorders or neurologic conditions Uncontrolled diabetes, depending on presentation Active chest pain, shortness of breath, or medical instability Clients managing chronic conditions or taking prescription medications may also require additional review before services can be approved.
- 06We recommend staying well hydrated, eating a light meal if appropriate, and completing all required forms in advance of your appointment. This helps your visit run smoothly and allows us to focus on your comfort, safety, and wellness goals.
- 07After treatment, continue drinking water, follow any after-care guidance provided, and allow your body time to rest and respond to the service you received. Mild soreness at the IV or injection site can occur, but clients are usually able to return to normal activity shortly after treatment.
- 08Many clients report feeling refreshed, rehydrated, and supported after treatment. Some notice an improvement in energy, hydration, or overall balance, though every experience is individual and may vary based on the service and the client.
- 09The frequency of services depends on your individual wellness goals and the specific nutrients included in your treatment plan. Some nutrients may be administered up to twice weekly, while others are more appropriate once weekly. For clients seeking hydration support alone, you may receive up to 2 liters of hydration per week, which typically equals two IV drip appointments. Treatment frequency is always guided by safety, medical clearance, and the nutrients being administered to ensure services remain appropriate for your individual needs.
- 10Yes. Many clients are able to receive IV therapy and injections on the same day, depending on the services selected and medical clearance. Treatment combinations are always reviewed for safety and appropriateness prior to administration.
